My sessions are designed to gently capture the beauty of your family; the laughter, the quiet moments, the connection, crazy and clingy stages included. Whether I am photographing your growing family outdoors in natural light or in a relaxed setting in your home or one of your favourite places, the focus is always on creating timeless images that feel honest, warm and full of life to treasure forever.
From motherhood and newborn days to playful family sessions, in doors or on location, each experience is thoughtfully guided so you can simply enjoy your session and time together while I capture the moments you'll want to remember forever. Always baby and child-led.
My Promise to you
I know family sessions can sometimes feel a little overwhelming, especially with little ones involved. Please don’t worry about perfectly posed moments or perfectly behaved kids. Some of the most meaningful photographs come from the quiet in-between moments: the cuddles, laughter, movement, and love you share naturally as a family. My goal is simply to create a calm space where you can be yourselves.

About me
Hi, Im Hannah, wife and mum of two and a lover of meaningful moments. Soppy sod who cries at everything.
Home for me is here in the Lancashire countryside, where life is a mix of muddy shoes, school runs, noise and the kind of beautiful chaos that comes with family life. Alongside photography I work in an Early Years setting caring for babies from 6 months old to Pre school age 4 giving me plenty of hands on experience with young children alongside mummy and auntie life.
You'll usually find me chasing light around the house or lighting candles to create a glow, rearranging a corner for the hundredth time or in the garden ticking off one job but creating 5 more.
I have always been drawn to the feeling of things and I'm sensitive in most situations, my surroundings included, this is why I notice how the light falls through a room, the warmth of a home, connection, the quiet comfort of being surrounded by your favourite people. A touch, a look, a feeling. Its these things I love to capture.
I have always been in to photography and had a camera with me at all times through my days of travel. But my love for the art form really grew when my husband gifted me my first SLR camera in 2016 after our wedding. From there I was obsessed. I have captured everything from family events and weddings to baby milestones and muddy wellies and decided it was time to turn my passion in to my dream career.
I am a sucker for romance and the little details. Which is why I absolutely love to capture your love stories. From the early dates and falling in love all the way to the first hello of your little ones and beyond.

Why I started this business
Because I know as a mummy MYSELF just how quick memories start to blur, i wanted to turn my passion in to my dream 'job' and preserve memories for others.
An art, a story, a poem, a feeling. To me photos are all of these things. I first picked up a camera on my travels when i was just 19 and just loved to play with the light. Getting them printed when I got home each time was just the most magical gift I could give myself. After our wedding when we were trying for a baby; my husband surprised me with a beautiful new camera and I haven't looked back since. My children and family have been my models and muse as I have developed my skillset further; and so Hanni Lou Photography was born.
